As a side note, when did they stop using left hand threads on the left side wheels?

Chrysler stopped around 1971-72, they were the last US company to do so.

Chrylser stopped in 1970. I was just reading an Imperial FAQ. :)

Cool, I new my 69 Fury had them but my Duster did not so I figured it had to be a around that time.

    I have a 1997 International 4700 truck that has lefty lugs. ;)

Sorta goofy (and unnecessary for me), but I wonder how long it would take the average thief to steal a set a wheels if three out of five were lefties? How many monkeys are strong enough to break the stud or smart enough to figger it out? (I would obliterate the markings on stud and nut, and just remember the pattern) If they gave up, you'd at least have enough still on to get back to wherever.

would work unless the bandito just gets made and snaps the lugs. not worth the hassle to me.
