    I have a 72 CJ5 with a 304 and a t15 trans. The motor runs ok but I can get a 360 out of a 77 ramcharger that runs awesome for free. Do 360's bolt right up? Pro's, Con's?

The Dodge 360 is a totally different engine from the AMC 360 - nothing is interchangeable.

I'd keep the 304. They are getting rare. You can get a fair amount of power out of them with an intake, carb, cam, header setup. Only drawback is parts are higher, about 1.5 times a comparable Chevy 350 part cost. I've found it easier to find a replacement AMC 360 than a 304. You could go for an AMC 401, but they are hard to find also, and you might begin to stress the T-15.
