I don't know how you prove "unregistered".
Maybe "unsold" or "demonstrator" would have been better description.
It has to belong to somebody and surely there must be a title .
Why hubcaps in one photo and not the other ?

 

Has a 2 piece rear axle. Should a '70 have a paper air cleaner too?

 

Could have been used on generic 'Dealer' plates.

Used as a parts chaser and for plowing the dealer lot?

 

I believe both of those things changed mid year 70.

Still has original Goodyear Subordinite tires, smog pump and radiator. Air cleaner is correct. Mine was built January 1970 with the same air cleaner. Kaiser still owned them until around May 1st 1970.

Mine has flanged rear axle with a splash of pink paint to mark limited slip rear axle and 4.89 rear end. My seats are the same. I replaced my radiator with a three row core to correct over heating problems. Looks fairly original. I would like to have Myers top.

 

That is a 69 not a 70.
Hood reflectors, tapered rear axle, fuel tank under the drivers seat.
There is not a black and yellow vin tag on the dash near the headlight switches either.

 

Never registered doesn’t equal “new Jeep”. Obviously a plow vehicle for the dealership, and looks well cared for, but those are likely a hard 2500 miles. Has drive flanges up front, never had lockouts. Not something you see much.
The price is up there, but you never know what someone will pay for a low mile Jeep.

my late '69 was sold as a '70 according to the title and the warranty booklet i found. and has all of those things
i tired looking back at the FB ad and noticed that it doesnt have the dash data plate...
something about the dash on this one. extra switches, missing tags, no grab handle a lot of things missing or added to something that was never sold or registered.

SO curious the 1970 model year was AMC not Kaiser. My dads bought new early (had the Rhino grill) 1970 J3000 was badged AMC Buick 350. This jeep has Kaiser Tags and says it was made in Canada How does that work into the what is this debate?
