really? I thought they were equivalent to 31's. thought i heard that on here.
the 33's I put on there has reduced my top speed too much to be enjoyable.

I'm a dirt/gravel road kinda guy and also pavement to and from work and errands around town. no serious terrain or obstacles in my future.

It technically specs out at 28.88", but in real life it will not be that tall.

I still run 15" rims on both the cj and the wagon....to some extent, what wheel size you want is based on what tire size you want to run. The biggest issues with 15" rims is if you want a tall skinny tire. The Typical 75 profile (like in a 235/75/15) means that you have to get pretty wide to get pretty tall. A lot of us run 33x10.5, but the selection is a bit limited. Even in the 31" range, you still are often around 10.5" wide. But if you are not looking for a tall tire skinny, I don't see why you would spend to go with a 16" rim, unless you just like the look of it. If you are good with 10.5" wide, then the 31s mentioned by Norcal are plentiful in options, and if you want a bit smaller, I run 30x9.5 (or in p-rating, 245/75/15) on the wagon on 15" rims - lots of options there as well.

For my usage, the 16" rim is intriguing to be able to run either a 215/85/16 or 235/85/16....this gives the old school tall skinny look, but options are a bit limited and often are heavy ply rating. The narrow width does help with some weight gain (assuming light rims), and the narrow/small tire patch may add back a small amount of pep to the jeep, but ride quality might not be great.

My '69 has a V6, T-14, 3.73s and no overdrive with 31x10.50x15 tires. It goes down the highway at 60+ mph with no issues. They look good with a 2.5" lift plus the wheels I mentioned earlier, and the tires are inside the fenders. The tires just barely rub the springs at full lock.

If that's the case, 16 inch wheels are probably a better option. My '68 came with 16x7 'Soft 8' wheels and LT235/85R16 tires. They are about 32" tall. As Finocj noted, tires in this size tend to be high load range and may not ride as soft. It's basically a 3/4 ton pickup size.

The wheels are available on Summit but like everything else have gotten more expensive than they used to be: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/crr-3977755

What is on your rig now that you don't like....33x10.5? I am not sure dropping to a 32x10 is going to help the F134 a lot....

agree with Roy....this is where the 16" rims help...a 235/85/16 gets you almost a 32x9.5 - thats my goal for the wagon one day, but I need the rims and some leaf springs!

I love that tire size 'look' - but after watching Dave's ecj5 on old BFG 33x9.5, and even comparing 33x10.5 to 33x12.5, you give up some off-road performance going skinny. Especially with the heavy load ply rating - its hard to get them to air down enough to bulge along the sidewall. Heck, with beadlocks and a light cj - you could probably just take the valve stem out and call it good.

I could do 60 no problem all day with the 235/75r15s. When I sold the wife's jeep I swapped out those tires for the new 33x12.5r15s that were on her jeep. Cruising around I noticed my top end was suffering lots.

I keep F134 Jeeps with 4.27 axles limited to no taller than 29”-30” tall. You might be able to pull 32”s if you are running 5.38 gears.

I dug these wheels out from the corner of my shed. Your thoughts? Not sold on white, but not sure what goes with orange either.
Figure use these to save up until I get what I want, some nice aluminum wheels

I like em’. Classic, durable, rugged, steel utility wheel that takes abuse. I always liked the wagon wheels. Like a fool I gave a set of 15x8’s away a few years ago… they even had the stem holes on inside of the rim (protected from rubbing).
