Engine Bolt Kit For 225 V6

I am looking at replacing all of the bolts on my 225 V6 with stainless bolts and washers and I was wondering if they are the same as the 231 Buick V6?

I would love any input on this and if anyone has found a good kit for something like this. Thanks!

 

Why?

 

I have always replaced the timing cover bolts with stainless if I had it apart. For 40 bucks, this looks good. And I bet the 231 kit works fine for a 225. Can't think of anything that would be different.

 

Keep in mind, most stainless bolts are only Grade 2, whereas the original bolts are Grade 5. The exception for stainless bolts are those made by ARP which likely exceed Grade 5 strength.

Did not know that, I always thought they were harder, not that you need it for valve cover bolts. But a quick search, unless I'm reading this wrong looks to be grade 8?

Most of your off the shelf stainless stuff is pretty soft, that's ok for low stress stuff like valve covers and intake manifold bolts etc..

 

I used the ARP water pump/timing cover kit for a Buick 350 when doing my 225.
