D44 ring gear spacers?

Did a search and didn't turn up anything.
I'm looking for the ring gear spacer to use a #3 carrier with #4 gears on a D44.
IE Power Lock for 3.73s and useing 4.27s, 4.88s or 5.38s gears.
Who makes them for the D44? I see them for D60s and some others but no luck on the 44.
    Clear as new mud?

Yup, I have the same stupid dilemma. Bought a detroit for the 3.73 gears and would now like to go lower but can't because of the stupid carrier break. I searched for ring gear spacers and found a ton for 10 and 12 bolt axles, but none for 44s. I think there may be an issue with d44 carriers thats making spacers a bad idea.

I haven't found anyone that makes them either, my thought was to have a fab shop make one. I need one for the Dana 25 and the D44.

You can get 'thick' gear sets in the 4.56 ratio from Redier racing. These fit the 3 series carrier with no spacer. I think they were about $30 more than a regular 4.56 set when I looked into it a few years ago.

I've also heard that the 4.30 gears from an Izuzu D44 rear have a thick ring gear and fit a 3 series carrier, but that's more of a hearsay thing...
