Anyone out there have a good solution for radiator overflow? Lots of aftermarket tanks, but wondering if anyone has a good way to mount?

I got mine from Speedway Motors, it's just a big cylinder about 15" tall, it bolts easily to the side of the radiator. I'll see if I can't grab you a pic when I head outside.

This doesn't answer your question but I'm wondering why you need one?

Old school tells me to just run a hose down the side of the radiator from the overflow cap like my past jeeps, but as I've aged, I feel it's probably better to have a tank to catch anything that might "boil over" if you will.

What I like about modern cars is they recapture so I really never have to add, unless there is a problem. Now the CJ looses a little over time (especially during the summers) such that I have to add some at times. No leaks, no overheating, holds pressure, no noticeable drips anywhere so I’m guessing it’s just steaming off a little each time.

That would be great, thanks. I see a number of stainless tanks out there.

Cool! I was just wondering if you were having some kind of overheating problem. :)

I'm using an aluminum Meziere in my 3B. It's been in there for 12 years and so far just perfect. It mounts with two 1/4' socket head through bolts (sleeved). Obviously nothing too much stock in my B.

At lower left......Got this from my FLAPS. Cheap, as I recall . I simply fabricated a bracket for the top hanger & a mid way wrap around. ( Simply.....right , It was a PITA :censored:) Used rubber fuel hose, down the right side & under the radiator , to the bottom overflow nipple on that tank. Works great, though..... & I run a Turbo

Ever done any cycling? I use a 20 oz-ish MSR style fuel bottle that sits snug in a Mt Bike water bottle cage bolted onto my passenger side fender. Drill a hole in cap for the tube, and a tiny hole to prevent pressure buildup...Works great, never had it fill up.

No that's an interesting idea, I do have a number of bottles lying around (for some reason they seem to reproduce around here). Thanks, again

Cool old schooley racer trick solution-

Mount the cup on the side of the rad & run the overflow into the top or leave the cap on & drill a hole in the canteen for the hose to go into. Just pull it out of the cup when it's time to empty it.

Or you can mount the canteen upside down some place where you can reach the cap & drill a hole in the bottom for the hose- just unscrew the cap to empty.

Now I'm gonna have to buy a water bottle cage. I've got a stainless water bottle that froze last year and domed out the base and won't stay put on my desk.

But how about sucking it back in? Different radiator cap?

My question too. Is everyone running the system completely full like a modern vehicle or still keeping the radiator at normal level and strictly catching it if it does happen to overflow....which it normally shouldn't do.
