Does anybody know of a source for these? My original head bolts won't torque and with the motor being completely rebuilt I'd prefer to use new anyway. Any ideas?

I've read that thread previously and I'm guessing that head bolt availability has declined in the years since it was posted. Headbolts.com shows they are out of stock, but I emailed them to see if they expect more any time soon. TA Performance doesn't list them on their website specific for the 225, but I haven't called them yet to inquire. I'll check with Napa to see if they can get anything and there's an old school machine shop down the way from me that might have a source.

Got a speedy reply from headbolts.com, on a Sunday no less! They say 4-5 weeks on head bolts. Better late than never I guess...

Got it, thanks. I have a buddy looking for some good used bolts so I'll start there. Jegs shows the 215 bolts at almost $150, which I wasn't expecting but I might be naïve when it comes to the cost of head bolts because I've never purchased them before.

If you want used, you could post in the WTB forum here.

I managed to get some usable bolts locally so I think I'm set now.

I'm curious of what material head bolts are. I would have to Imagine something with at least 100 ksi.. I need to do a little research on that. I have access to some pretty good materials like B16, Inconel alloy, 422SS etc that lives in pretty harsh conditions.. I'd be curious to see how head bolts compare..
