Electric Water Temp Gauge

Hoping the experts may be able to help me out in this one. I want to install an SW water temp gauge to get a more accurate reading compared to the old crusty original temp gauge in the speedo cluster. I was leaning toward a mechanical gauge at first but before I bite the bullet for one of those, does anyone know if an SW electrical temp gauge would work using the existing factory sender? I’m hoping to just run a wire from the original sender to the new gauge rather than finding a place on the manifold to install the mechanical sender and tubing. Thanks!

 

I'm using one, works great. I would just use the sensor that comes with the gauge.

 

You have to use the sender that matches the gauge.
