61 Cj5 Frame Fit 69 Cj5

I found what appears to be a good condition 61cj5 frame. I would like to find a nice straight oem frame that i can build up and eventually swap into my 69. It looks the same except it also has the frame mounted battery box. I would like to strap and box the entire frame and eventually swap on with some other upgrades. This looks like a direct bolt in but can anyone confirm?

Someone else may chime in with more detail, but I think there would be very little modification needed between those two years as long as your 69 has the 4 cylinder engine. Master cylinder and clutch are two possible differences I can think of. 69 has a dual MC and mid-year 69 went to a cable clutch. If you have a linkage clutch on your 69, likely no real issues there. Body mounts should all line up, so worst case scenario is having to move over the MC bracket from your 69 and maybe the frame-mounted cable bracket if required. Motor mounts would be a bigger deal if you have the V6.

 

My 69 is a 383 Vortec with sm420 so I'll be doing mounts and a saginaw conversion anyways. I'm mainly concerned the frame dimensions and body bolts lining up. Thanks for all your help guys.
