What Are These Holes On Windshield For?

    For the bolts that hold the hinge to the frame.
    Also used for some hardtop upper door hinges that mount to the outside of the w/s frame.
    Usually get broken off when trying to remove them from an East coast rig............

    wow. Ok thanks. I guess that’s why this is happening? I think I just added another item to my project to fix. Sounds like I need to pull off the W/S, clean underneath, and push back down to get some new bolts in?

    Yes, its a good idea to remove the upper hinge and run a tap the clean the threads. When you reassemble, smear the shank of the hinge with grease or anti-seize (and all the threads) to make sure it can be removed in the future. By the way, there should be 3 phillips head screws on the bottom of each upper hinge, along with the two upper hex bolts your missing.
