On A Brake Note.......

Does any one else have their rear brakes working so well that you can hear the self adjusters ' Click ' when backing up to a stop ?
Just wonder'n......" Cuz mine do !

 

you need to soak em in mud to fix that.

 

yup they click when backing up.....go mudding and see if they still click

I'd guess you're hearing the adjuster climbing the star wheel. You should not hear more than one click, and that very often if they are working right. I always replace the lever and adjuster when refurbing the brakes, for more positive action. Not expensive.

 

I replace a set of shoes a year, all the hardware and they still only work for a little bit. The mud around here is gritty and causes all that stuff to wear fast.

 

Brakes?? You mean the chicken pedal?

 

Can’t hear anything over the exhaust....
