Could it be Serra Blue? After years in the sun and rain the paint code would be necessary the get the correct color.

I have a Sierra blue '64 Tux. Its a very light sky blue. I think the color was revived for the Renegade l around '70, but Mass's photo look too dark, maybe buff out a section to see if its just dirty?
I also have a '66 thats Empire blue under the chocolate brown. Mass's photo sure looks like this, only Empire is metallic.

No sticker near the battery box, but there is a number written on the firewall right behind the battery. Number 58 is written in what looks like lumber crayon. Or marker. I buffed it out and there could be a slight poly metallic hint there. But when I moved the buffer, the cord hit the camera and yes, it hit the ground and NO, it no longer works.

In reference to the crayon number on firewall my '71 has that with a #43.Assembly line mark I believe.Nothing to do with paint.BTW i'll put my vote on EMPIRE POLY BLUE. Common ecj5 jeep color for many years and also found on Jeepters. mike

How about under the dash or inside of the tool box or underside of the tool box lid? Maybe a good bit of original paint there?

  17. Does anyone have a picture of a fresh painted EMPIRE BLUE POLY.? Would really like to see what that color looks like new

After looking at John's build page, I think Empire blue is the color. I'll have to get it out in the sun with a new camera. Been installing power looks this past week, so no time for camera shopping. Worse part, it was the girlfriends new camera I bought last summer after metal detecting in a river with her old one. Yes never metal detect under water, with a non water proof camera.
