I myself am waiting for full central hydraulics driven from the crankshaft with power beyond for steering, snowplow, hydraulics to a 3 point hitch and 2 remotes. 5 levers and a 22gpm pump. It may stall the f head! Lol

Enough of my silliness, carry on!

The gennys' are physically the same thing, insides are a bit different. I'm actually using the mopar end on a willys gen case- fits perfectly. I've got a hilo but I kinda like the oil filter where it's at. I'm looking for a nice clean install here, not relocating everything all over the place.

Considered it, been looking for one but would make changing the fan belt a pain.

You, Sir, Are No Fun. :steamed:

Besides that the only spot it could go is reserved for my Novi governor.

    Which I have because I'm special :D

BadGoat How High Can You Climb?

Is the Toyota FJ starter short enough?

Or you could put a drive wheel on the back of the generator and mount the power steering pump offset. Gear or belt could work depending on how much space you need. This would also allow you to under or overdrive the pump depending on the drive configuration.

or do an electric power steering conversion.

Don't think so, the compact stater I have is a toyota, ame p/n as the regular starter. If I can find it tomorrow we'll see what happens.

Thought about an offset drive with an enclosed chain box.

Could do electric, I think one would fit nicely under the battery tray but I'd want the toyota MR2 unit & they are $$$$$.

Big Jaguars (MK10/420) in the 1960's used a generator driven power steering pump (similar to the Corvette one posted), but they were maybe a bit shorter. I think I still have the assembly buried in the garage. I'll try to check to see if its still around for dimentions.
