Koenig Pto Winch From A Bronco

    hi going to look a koenig winch from a early Bronco.can it be used on a 66 cj5 it looks like the input shaft is on the passenger side not the drivers side can it be flipped around?Thks

    The input can be flipped but be aware the gears are cut reverse from a Jeep application. Means if the winch originally pulled from the bottom of the drum will pull from the top. Can be a weak spot for the mountings.
    Been there, done that.

    I heard of one that was flipped upside down... but supposedly wrecked the worm gear for lack of lubrication.

    Thanks for the response so if it pulls from the top now when its flipped it would pull from the bottom?Is pulling from the bottom what you want?

    Depends on the model of winch. Some Koenigs pull from the top and some from the bottom. Again, depends on the model of winch and mounting system.
