I put rear disks on my Jeep. Using the original brake handle. I found I don't have enough leverage for the brakes to hold on a hill.

Here's how I have it before this idea came to me. The handle is still the same. Nothing has changed inside the Jeep.

    This is my idea.

If I find I don't like it. I can always undo it.

I like it! And I always preferred the action of the military style handle.

In my part of the country, rust would be an issue long term, and I'd also be curious about the State safety inspection.

But I think it's very cool.

No. Stainless Steel Brake Company. These are for a 73'-75' CJ, modified to fit the Warn FF.

Washington doesn't have inspections. Also it is a Collector Vehicle so I don't need to pay for any yearly tabs or tags, depending on the part of the country you live in.

Similar here in NH, ten bucks a year registration and no inspection for antique vehicles.

Which is a huge blessing. At one time they had twice-annual inspections for older vehicles!

Scott, did you make or buy the pulley assembly?

love the ingenuity.. but unsure about a safety inspection or long term durability

having said that... my fiends 1946 piper cub has nothing but cable and pulley controls and there is no pulling over in that thing

Yeah but I don’t need a title or a concealed carry permit. Think I’ll stay.

Good idea... artistic. Hope that it won't be blocked by rust or anything.

Amazon. I cut off the pulley swivel ring and installed a bolt.
