I can clean this thread up if you like and move it back? Your choice.

Its OK. I should start a nice clean build thread later. That way I can do step by step. But now I know who the culprit was . Besides, I'm not killing myself on this one right away. Just picking at it, until I get the 53 3b as close to finished as I can. Still have a few things on that one, before I dive in head first to this one. Thanks though.

Tried to upload a video of the first start up of the Dauntless. The distributor that was in it, did not look correct and I could not get a spark. I'm thinking it was an even fire. So I pulled a point distributor off another of my odd fires with new points and condensor, cap rotor, and plopped it in there. I know you don't plop one in, but I want new people to feel confident when exchanging distributors. Timed it as close as possible to oil pump shaft, used my old Chevy distributor shaft, moved the oil pump clocking a little bit and Bam. Started first turn of the key. This thing runs new. I removed the right valve cover to get TDC correct and it's clean as a whistle. When it started, there was no smoke or smell at all. I think it was recently built or exceptionally cared for. I have a few vacuum leaks as the advance is not hooked up and there is two open ports open. This freaker rips. Strongest odd fire I have ever driven. My buddy went for a ride and his neck hurts. Awesome.

It was the only way to get it to work for me. But I posted to FB earlier and it just was there, no link. Oh well. Thanks

How well do your 33's fit with the 2.5 lift? Have a brand new old stock set of 2.5 soft rides, was thinking of using on this one. And run 33X10;50-15's KM3's

Great, of course the turning radius is tight. My tires rub the springs on tight turns.

I think I could go metric to see if there is a skinnier set, but keep that height. But to be honest, I don't mind the rub too much. It bothers other to hear it, but once it starts to rub I just back off a tad. I'm loving the 488's.

I didn't think it was correct because they have both fuel lines coming up through the pto plate between the seats. But I now stand corrected. Thank you sir.

Maybe we could do that. There is already a lot of info here to start with. So, if you could work your magic, I could update progress. Thanks bud.
