Extended Bikini For Cj5 1972

So I am getting my roll bar frame tie in kit installed along with the full front bars and frame tie in. With this, the stock top of coming off and its so old and shrunken its junk. I wanted to just do a Bikini top but as I will also have the kids in at times I wanted a extended top. has anyone done one? I figure if I use soft top rear hoop that will give me what I need for the top. My last resort is there are a few canvas/top shops around to just make one up. But I figure I cant be the only one looking.

Cage tie in and kits were from Extreme Custom Fabrication. Bought a few years ago and yet to install until now.

I'd do as you are thinking, using the soft top bows. Use the entire soft top bow assembly, though. The rear bow alone will be too high to put tension over the roll bar. And rear bow without the front part will not be stable. Essentially youll built a soft top with no sides.
