My daughter and I pulled out her sewing machine this morning and made an extended bikini top for our ‘56 CJ5. Going to be great in the sun. Rain... well it’s a Jeep so we’re going to get wet anyway :)

    Kind of a safari top...

Looks good! Keep it below 75 mph and probably wont flap TOO much.

    Bowbender I'm workin' on it!

I think they'll be OK, did you see the "slow moving vehicle" triangle on the back? ;)

Yeah...the locals, especially construction crews in dump trucks, don't like me putting around at 40-45 mph it seems... hence the "triangle" on the back :) Plus it's 6v (dimmer than 12v brake lights) and no turn signals. If I could pop flares as we drive, I'd do it. Anyway, no issues with the top coming off. I also designed it so it could be attached to the angled tubing of the roll bar creating a "slant back" set up or the short rear portion (pictured) can be tucked up for better visibility out the back. Was going to take the back all the way down to the tailgate and put a window in the back, but got impatient and made it as is.
