What are all the cool kids doing about tail lights if wanting to look somewhat right? Understand I'm in W PA so intermediate taillight buckets have long ago converted to red tinted groundwater.

These look sort of right. I never saw these as recently as two years ago when I "fell away" from this forum. Anyone try these yet?

I recall those from a couple years back. Nothing newer/better has come along, AFAIK. Sometimes you can find the original buckets. Replacement lenses are available.

Intermediate tail lights are quite different from the boat trailer lights.

The ones the op posted are the closest I’ve found so far.

Yes, I agree. I was referring to the type that Zila posted. They look something like the earlier lights http://cj3b.info/Dating/Taillights.html

They look “zactly” like the proverbial generic Jeep lights (trailer lights) except for the dorky looking LED clusters.

If you want the brightness of LEDs but not the futuristic look, there’s plenty of LED 1157 bulbs that fit the bayonet sockets of the older taillights.

I have something like these installed: Amazon.com: JDM ASTAR Extremely Bright 3030 chips 1157 2057 2357 7528 LED Bulbs ,Brilliant Red: Automotive

They glow red, which I wanted for enhanced redness. They were a tight fit in my “Jeep” generic trailer taillights so I had to shave down the bulbous end of the bulb so the red lens cover would fit.
