York Oba Install

Fabbed up some brackets off the exhaust manifold and the engine mount plate. , just need to plumb it, Mount the tank under the bed somewhere

This jeep, which is now called “Smokey” as in Smokey the bear, after the little electrical fire on the NH run, which caused lots of smoke.
Smokey and Ted are set up very similar.

 

What's the Willy's with the Coca Cola tailgate? It looks really cool also.

 

System is plumbed, minus one fitting I’m waiting for. Goes to a tank under the drivers side next to DS, then up to a retractable hose real next to the driver seat.

 

Looks great. Did you wire in a pressure switch to the magnetic clutch?

 

who makes that filter ? Interstate ? part number ?
are you going to run a return oil line back to the York ?
I did the reel too makes for a nice and clean install

 

Yes, Pressure switch in the manifold controls the clutch, on off is controlled with toggle switch in cab.
I’ll have to see if i can find the filter info, its from grainger, but a couple years ago, i had most of this set up on the other jeep. No oil return, in 20 years running York’s, never had a need for it. I watch the filter, and when it gets halfway, i refill the compressor. That happens maybe once a year

 

If you are interested, there is a simple mod to the compressor to stop the discharge of oil although with the amount of oil you noted in the filter, probably not. Anyway here's the link to the modification: On-Board Air - York Oil System Modification

 

The retractable hose is a really nice touch.
