hey guys. I'm looking at buying new bushings for my 62 cj 5. the kits on amazon/etc all sell them 14 in a pack, and they are 2.7" thick. isn't that a "body lift" at that point? I just want stock.

so, 14 of them, and also the same thing under the grille?

The grill gets a round "puck" looking mount, actually two of them. It is smaller diameter than a hockey puck, and one goes on either side of the frame bracket, with a big washer on the bottom. There should be a short section of metal tube through the center of the pair.
The correct frame pads are about 1/4" as Tim said. The sidewall of an old tire works pretty well.

Per the M38a1 manual they are (mostly) 1/8" thick, really anything between that and probably 1/2" would be good. I made mine out of 3/16" UHMW plastic. Note that the ones at the floor riser will need to be a little thicker as they sit at an angle.

I made some that are 1" thick rubber, 2 3/8" dia., with a .5" center thruhole. Good enough for me.

For the grille mount? That'll work fine. (y)
