I checked all the wires there in order. dist is turning fine. I had to pull the Jeep out of the garage to work on another project. When Im back at it I'll check in. Thanks all. To many projects!

 

Try Starting fluid

It works in cold weather even without a choke.

 

I am having the same issue with a 225. I can get it to cough but it won't catch. I have reset the distributor several times to make sure. It won't catch on starting fluid either. Any ideas? Seth how did you resolve this?

 

i would check compression, if it's low you may have a stuck valve? dauntless should be around 135

 

I will have to do a compression test.

 

I did have both valve covers off and it did appear all valves where moving as they are supposed to. I have not done the compression test yet, that may have to wait until this weekend.

If it ran before and suddenly it won't it may have jump time,worn chain or gears
