Been waiting for affordable LED lighting to do my workbench area. Taking a tip from member 49T&C I bought some 48" LED replacements for T8 fluorescent tubes.

Great light quality, no ballast required and only $6 delivered. Unbreakable, double-insulated, and unlike quartz lamps, no heat output either.

So, I also made some quick and dirty portable worklamps by adding pigtails. All UL® listed (Undertaker Labs. Don't try this at home. Or under your Jeep.) It takes less than five minutes.

    I love them!

What insane scarf joint is that and do you really just hook up 110/115 to it? Internal converter?

I can't take my eyes off that joint. That's really quite impressive work.

Thank you. It's all about "measure twice cut once." The hard part was working 25 feet above the floor.

How do you like this one? The purlins radiate over ascending rafters on widening raised chord trusses - every joint was a different compound angle.

Ooops. Hi-jacked my own thread!

    That's cool.

I think it's more about the standards you set for yourself. Precision (ie cut once, no waste) comes from that. Great work.
