Do The Later Tjs Have Frame Rot Issues Like The Earlier Models?

I have a close friend that is Looking at a few 06 tjs.
I know the earlier tjs had some issues with frame rot in the rear and skid plate section of the frame.

Seen it first hand on the trail and off. I'm thinking of breaking out the bore scope and going with him to check the frames out. Did they ever address the problems? Hell be looking at them here in the rust belt. Any help on this? I'm not well versed on them.

 

They all rust it's just a matter of time, I have fixed frames on 97,2000,2002,2003,2005 tjs the later ones are slightly better be they put a drainage hole in the frame but it's still not a solution

I fixed one TJ last week and just patched up another. They rust pretty bad no matter the year here in Saltsylvania.
