If they are a spare tire mount, I wonder how it would look complete

Not gonna happen. And I don't facebook either.

You can drag and drop pictures into your ECJ5 postings.

    Welcome to the forums, BTW.

You should be able to drag and drop JPGs or GIFs or PNGs of reasonable size directly into your response. Try that.

I've never seen anything like those.

They are reminiscent of mounts for swing-aside spare tire carriers, but obviously aren't.

It occurs to me that they are designed is such a way that perhaps they form a kind of dovetail mount for an assembly that could drop over them from above, then be securely carried.

Good thinking PeteL! That would be a unique way to mount something.

I was thinking the same thing, and have been scouring the interweb trying to find something similar. Im debating keeping them or ditching them. Thanks

Is this the part that would go on the end of a D 18 T-case if the drum brake is not used?

That looks like the speedometer gear for a first or second generation GoldWing Motorcycle.

Maybe a lead-in clue for someone in the know--#7 is noted as a rear bearing cap.

It looks right. The 71 that grassfed (member here) picked up a few weeks ago is at my place and has the D18 without the drum. I will take a look at it, maybe see if I can verify.

    **edit**

Turns out it is the same rear output housing, the parking brake is just missing. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
