Should there be one on both sides?

The fuel/filler neck is on the passenger side.

    There's just the one.

That's odd my 1971 does not have that triangular plate from the bumper to the frame. I wonder why I don't have it?

Thanks guys. I was just curious.

Renegade II, as Tim stated, it gave the draw bar added strength.... did yours come without a drawbar?

The bump stops are present on all the early '70s CJs AFAIK. I believe they protect the starter from the driveshaft.

Bottom picture left is the brake/clutch lever cross shaft support, it bolts against the under floor single circuit master cylinder (small holes), the shaft end fits in the big hole.

Is that cast aluminum piece a smog pump bracket maybe? And the small bracket in the second picture may be a guard for the fuel lines where they go through the floor boards between the front seats (just a guess).

The aluminum bracket is for the power steering pump as used on the Jeepster Commando and other early Buick engines.

Found in bucket of stuff that came with my '71 CJ. Part of parking brake maybe?

My buddy Steve bought a salvage cj5 for a few odds and ends. Along with the jeep came a very nice steel top. Whats the scoop with this windshield frame? The jeep we are told is a 67. It has a factory v6. I see that it has bottom mount wipers, but also has provisions for top mount wipers as well? There is extra space at the top of the windshield compared to my 69 or his 71.
I realize that the window frame is wasted. All I wanted it for was the soft top channel, wiper arms and motor for steves 71 project.

I believe that is a 1968 windshield frame. 1968 was the first year for bottom wipers while still retaining the flat top windshield glass. 1969 would be the first year for the arch top glass and the bottom wipers continued.

Take all the linkage & clips out inside the frame and save it also.........tough to find if you need it. If you don't want it I'll take it.

Yes, I plan on keeping all the wiper parts as well.

    Hi, guys.

Can anyone help me identify these?

I failed to mark the tag when I disassembled my stock 1969 universal, 4 cyl (F134), dual brake, bottom wipers, 10" wheels, no PTO, two stick... etc.

I don't remember taking them off or apart. I thought they might be part of one of the pedal assemblies, but the pedals are both reassembled, and here they are still on the shelf.

    Thanks.

I am not familiar with 1969 brake line routing but they look like they could be brackets for where the brake line changes to the brake hose. Just a guess...

Thanks, Mike, we'll check that out tomorrow. The brake lines are all installed, but maybe the PO left me with a spare set of brake line brackets which I didn't notice in the beginning. We did find a handful of loose parts in the tool compartment after beginning the teardown. Perhaps these came from there.

That was my guess too. Only a wild guess.

With the stamped area around the hole, they look like wiper arm levers. That's my guess.
