I need to have my Detroit Locker rebuilt. Having a terrible hard time finding parts for it. Anyone know of a source? Don't even know what's wrong with it yet but I live in Mendenhall MS and have a good R&P shop in Jackson, if I can just help them find a source for the parts.
    It's an '84 CJ7 with D30 front and 4.56 gears. Upgraded axles.

Seems like I remember Rich and Paul from R&P 4WD in Oregon. Did a search and found their website and sent them an email. I hope it's the same folks who used to hang out here on the board. They're very helpful. I bought a Power Lock from them once a long time ago. Couldn't use it because it was for a gear ratio that was lower than my 3.73's but they were very helpful to ECJ5 members back in the day so hopefully they'll help me out.

Rich and Paul don't operate R&P now John. They sold to someone else who now sells parts strictly online. Only way the new owner will reply is if you send an e-mail through his website.

Thanks...I finally got in touch with someone at Eaton. They say any distributor of Eaton can buy parts so I'm good to go there. Just gotta get it torn apart and figure out what's not working.

I talked to R&P yesterday on the phone. Git Rich I believe. Used to talk to John, but Rich said he's the guy now..

Richard runs R&P Customs, not R&P 4WD Parts Inc. Rich will help with parts as he can because the storefront is on his property and he still owns 5% of his share of the business. But it is not the same business it was and Richard is slowly rebuilding his vendor access through his new business. He primarily works on vehicles now but I'm sure will sell parts if he has them available. He is working on building up the business and is worth checking with him.
I reiterate, John, the owner of R&P 4 WD Parts will only answer e-mails through the website and will not answer the phone. He won't even answer my phone calls or texts to his personal phone and we used to meet for lunch almost weekly.
I met with Richard Last weekend and I worked for R&P 4 WD Parts Inc. for 22 years. Just retired in June.
John has been slowly moving the tools and inventory to his house and out of the building it's been in for a very long time.

Thanx for the info.. I used the same number I always have. John was a great guy.. I have bought Stuff from them and the tech support was great. I bought a Dana 44 with an ARB and a disc kit for my CJ.. One end the hole for the knuckle ball joint wasn't square on top. John had me send a photo, then paid freight both ways to make it right.. I'll continue to use em when needed or until things go south.
