Pick drums for a '72 CJ-5 if you don't want finned.

I've heard of drum brakes before. Do you have a hand crank starter too? ;)

Are you looking for it to stop better? Ceramic linings or mixture there of seem to work the best............Semi Metallic's might work but I doubt you would see much benefit until you heated them up.

Change the pedal ratio a little , that will add more brake force.

for what I need right now Sway need shoes bad .and it's already torn down ..... I plan on possibly changing to disc eventually but that means a few more trips to the junk yard, I run Ford hubs/spindles so the disc setup I have won't work... it's all chevy......

I have a set of the premium OEM NOS shoes.
I expect that they are genuine asbestos linings !
I was going to post them for sale on the forum anyway.
They are from AMC Jeep and these are brass rivotted not bonded junk.
These are premium shoes and they have yellow zinc coated cores.
They actually have thicker pads than the Stock CJ's used ( the cores are ever so slightly smaller)
Also the pads are grooved for heat dissipation.

I have a 1 complete set for both front and rear axles.
    Fits the 11" x 2" Jeep / Bendix drums.
    Excellent Quality !

Of course he doesn't.... Hand crank starters came after the rope pull style that Steve has!
