if something "works" it doesn't need fixing. Thats why you blew it off. It worked.

    Problem...

My new knuckle seal kits just showed up...The rubber seal isn't split...Should i just cut it?

    Edit:
    Solved.

I was looking at seal closely and noticed there was some flex under the rubber blob on the metal part of the seal.

I took a sharp razor knife and it made the split through the rubber.

    Hey Focker,
Now that you are into this thing this far this is the right time to check the king pin bearings and races that hold the knuckle on to the axle bell end. Most of the ones I have opened up needed new bearings and races. These don't ever have the chance to turn full circle, just back and forth less than 90°. This causes them to wear unevenly. An added benefit is the rubber knuckle seal will fit over the bell without having to cut them...

Not pictured but I've completely serviced the whole assembly.

    A small set back.
I just finished honing the left front wheel cylinder and went to install the spring and retainers and they fell through the other side.
    It's 1 1/8" bore!!! :(

WE => Wagner Electric? That's the historic name of the company that makes Wagner brakes. Possible these brakes were sourced from Wagner. All I know about their source is they are not Bendix, but Wagner is a likely source.

    Thems the brakes.

10" in back...Then 11"...And the 9" on the bottom right.

The CJ's front 10" backing plates now on the rear...Awaiting the arrival of new wheel cylinders.

The Wagoneer 11" backing plates on the front...Also awaiting the arrival of new wheel cylinders. I still need to mix up some knuckle pudding then I'll be set.

Aren't you supposed to have a skid plate for that tank?

Your jeep looks too clean. go drive it around in some poo or something.

You make everything look new before you put it on. I throw my new parts out of the window of my truck and mess em up some so that when i put them on my jeep they aren't disappointed and they fit in real nice.

I do...It's just not on yet...It's bent and won't conform to the new tank. Maybe I should throw it out of my truck a few times until it fits?

  17. I like to use corn head grease by john deere in my knuckles. its ready to use in the tube and its rated at #0 which is what my jeep book called for for either summer or winter I cant remember which. also it is in stock locally I believe it was only about 3 dollars a tube. think I got it at RDO equipment in pasco on Oregon street

The video had me a Thixotropic!

I've read about it...Good to know it's local and cheap. I'll pick some up vs mixing my own.

Tie rod clearance looks pretty tight with the spring. Thought about substituting a Wagoneer right knuckle, and get rid of the goofy 2-hole tie rod end?

    (Glad I could help :) )
