225 clutch fork and pivot ball

    Can anyone tell me a part number and/or compatible year model Buick car that takes that same clutch fork and pivot ball. I need to be armed with info when I go to the parts store

    I used a clutch release arm from a 1970 chevy K10 pickup from rock auto on sale for 10 bucks a while back. Works fine with the dauntless bell housing and stock pivot. I had to cut it down for the length.

    The 225 isnt technically jeep. It's all GM with GM part numbers. I remember the 225 had all the same guts as a later V8 version in some car. Anybody remember what that was?

    Range Rover? They bought the Buick 300 tooling from GM and used versions of that engine until 2005.

    Any GM V-8s past '74 were crossed over from the 231 variant, not the odd fire 225.

    I might be wrong... My kids stole some of my memory.

    Edit: Sorry, forgot to quote mdmeltdown, and don't know how to fix it.

    If you use the Crown arm check it for movement of the release bearing after installation but before installing the transmission. I have found that the tabs that fit into the groove of the release bearing are typically too wide on the Crown units so do not allow full travel of the release bearing. I had to grind the tabs so they could pivot in the groove properly.

    I believe that's an original GM part number which was later also used by Jeep.
