   the pins that hold the forks onto the shift rail were rivets and i had to drill them out. what is a good replacement?

   The t18 I've been working on has roll pins holding all the shift forks and gates onto the shafts.

   i found some steel 1 inch rivets in my shop today that fit perfectly. guess i'll be using them.
