I have greasable shackles by daystar. I went to lube them up and all but 1 worked. Front driver one top fitting won't allow grease to enter. Not sure what to do? All others are lubed now. I tried jacking front tire up to have shackle move, still no luck. Thoughts? What can I do to fix?
    Thanks

Make sure it's not just something simple like the check ball in the zerk. Had a few over the years that were stuck closed. Small screw diver or a small sharp pokey thing to see it the ball is free.

Pack Rat..poked the check ball several times with a screw driver..it appears to be free. I tried changing the angle of the gun, but it only allowed lube to come out of the side..dammit!!

Unscew the zerk and clear the grease passage behind it - may be clogged with old grease.

Do NOT apply heat! It can build dangerous pressure. I know someone with the ball from the zerk embedded in their arm... shot them selves with it.

Had a guy in Africa get killed by a large zerk and 10,000 psi pneumatic gun, with a blocked vent.. shot out right through his eye..

Replace the zerk with another one. New ones can even be defective, especially if they are Chinese.

I was thinking that when I replied but thought, a simple thing like a zerk, they couldn't screw that up could they? :p

If the grease fitting is 1/8 pipe, screw the hose from your grease gun into it directly....

Many years ago with the MB we drove it to the service station to get it greased. The service guy would hook up the grease gun and if nothing was going in he would start pounding on the surrounding steel areas with a hammer. It worked and I have done it a few times since then.
