Easy Shock Hack

    I like the "naked" shock look and only needed to replace the fronts. I haven't done anything to the Jeep lately so I thought a shock hack was in order. Turns out the fronts were too short and probably the reason for the rigid bouncy/porpoise ride. I removed and hacked the existing rears too but didn't take pictures of them mounted.

    Not the best pic but all 4 look like this now. No boot and painted with Rust-Oleum Self Etching Green Primer.

    Very clean fenders. Footer says "custom". You made them?

    Neat shock work. Looks like leaving top cap on would allow boot install, too.

    Ok...Maybe a little misleading if reading it that way. I cut the original fenders and welded some tubing together. I didn't want to buy a kit or lose the inner fender. Look at post #6 of this link - http://www.earlycj5.net/forums/showthread.php?110464-Focker-s-71-CJ5-Drivable-Build
