That adapter has a four bolt casting for the bearing retainer. The T-90 retainer is a 3 bolt. Have you had this installed with your V6?

Is there a seal in the transmission side of the adapter? If not, oil will fill the space between the adapter and the retainer. There is a sealed bearing available for the T-90, IIRC ... that would eliminate the need for any seal or gasket.

    There appears to be.

    You need to be sure.

Have you removed the adapter from the front of the transmission? If there is a seal in the adapter, then it will keep oil from coming down the shaft into the bearing retainer. Then the bearing retainer's only purpose is to support the throwout bearing - gaskets or seals there would do nothing. Also if the seal is in the adapter, there should be a gasket that seals the adapter to the transmission face, so that oil does not come out between the adapter and transmission.

I've used that setup in the past. Used with a sealed bearing, and there was a seal in the front retainer, gaskets at both points (or we used black RTV).

On many adapters of that style the stock T-90 front retainer is used but sometimes must be cut off. Remove the adapter and check. That front bearing retainer (4 bolt) on the adapter is a Saginaw 3 and 4 speed front bearing retainer by the way.

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

If that's an Offy adapter, it used a seal and gasket on the transmission side.
The input seal was a Ford part number if I recall.
