screw removal

We had a post about this recently - I suggested McMaster-Carr. But nothing with the ridges on the countersink. Maybe use a star washer or blue Locktite?

IIRC one of the Jeepster people had some OEM style.

Thanks for all the good ideas guy's, I finally got them all out now, by the way of the ol drill bit. Actually went pretty good & now she's off to the soda blaster & hopefully on the road soon, thanks again!

 

alan here we call em "easy outs" and are good till you snap one off. to the op weld a nut to em and try if that is a no go drill the heads out (1/2 inch bit if i recall works fine) and weld a nut to the nub left sticking out while the bolt/welded nut is still hotsmash some canning wax to the hot bolt and remove with your too o choice... the wax thing hasnt let me down yet

Anyone ever find a good replacement screw for windshield hinge?
