I posted in the introduction forum, but I thought I should post here. The "Bullfrog" is coming along.

A good friend had this old girl on his family farm and had been setting for 15 years. I traded 2 rifles for it and damn if I didn't get one of the rifles back in another trade! :):)

After about a year, we finally got down to the farm and loaded her up. What was only going to be a get running for the lease has turned into, "well we have gone this far, might as well..."

Will be putting a model 30 in with disc brakes, just waiting for it to be removed from it's current Jeep. I am also, getting the P/S box all linkage and front clip.

They always start out as "I think I will just put in a new battery, clean the fuel tank, change the oil/filter and air up the tires". :p

The frame and body sure does look straight for being a farm jeep, looks like it was well taken care of. Keep up the progress, looking good.fb

The frame was in good shape, considering the time it sat. The body only had a couple of rust spots that I was able to fix. The rear quarter panels will be covered with diamond plate, so not too worried on those.

The passenger side was beat pretty badly, but it is coming out pretty well.

Well, it has been a while.

It has been slow going, waiting on parts, but I have gotten some stuff done.

I got the rear corners mounted.

Also, got the rocker metal cut and mounted. Will be picking them up from the powder coating today.

Also, got the a bunch of stuff primed yesterday, will do the tub this weekend, more than likely.

The radio hole is easy to fix, find a good welder.
At least when they drilled the holes in your tailgate they didnt do it in the script area.
It's a bit of a challenge to get it to look right again.
A PO drilled 4 holes through the Willys part on my tailgate, It took over 20 hours to fix.

Finally, had some weather that was conducive to painting....Yes, I was hoping to have it painted back in September, but a job got in the way. Then anytime I had time off it was to cold or wet.

Well the past two days worked out nicely. I'm no Northern Dave but, I finally, got the gun and pressure figured out and it flowed nicely. I have a couple of runs that I will sand out, then hope next weekend has similar weather so I can clear coat.

Yeah, did all of the welding in of new metal, body work and painted it. Yep, a nice ding in the hood on the 3B. How did I miss that?

Nice color, typically the clear coat is applied when the base coat flashes over (looks dull) waiting a week to clear you will have to scuff the paint before clearing, best way to do it is with a scotch bright pad. If you screw up the color, reapply a coat of color then clear the same day. Just a bit of info for you... good luck

You should always leave at least one dent/ding not fixed. Your less likely to get one on the first run that way, won't stop the paint scratch, but might hold off the dent/ding gremlins for a bit :D
