Starting issue.

Well got a little work done today. Installed the new HEI, timed and installed a new key switch. I noticed the original plug for the key switch was looking purdy beat up so I clipped it off and ran female clips for the ends and just hooked it up that way. Little dab of fuel in carb and she fired right up without hessitation. Noticed no fuel getting into my filter so I preasurized my tank and found a bad connection between soft hose from sender to hard line. Its at a weird angle so I will cut the hard line back a ways, flange and get the connection on a better angle. All i know is the fire issue is taken care of. Thanks guys for the help and replys.
