windshield latches, brake master cylnder, what is this part???

Hey guys my windshield latches (not hinges) are shot. I'm not finding new ones for the intermediate on line. Any suggestions on where to look for new ones? Also anyone ever retro fitted the 76 on style to work with there intermediate? And did ya like it?

Second I was getting ready to put my master cylinder back in this morning only to realize I'm and idiot and left it outside for the last 4 months... It's a bit rusty missing the bar that flips over to hold the cover down but it does still compress and spring back out. So what I'm wondering is it worth trying to clean up and use or would I be better off spending the $90 on a new one? If new is the smarter way to go is there anything specific I should be looking for? I know I need w/o power brakes and w/front drums.

And last (for today) anyone have an idea what this part is? I'm thinking it's a original steering column bushing???? Maybe????? The Mopar website had nothing when I typed the part number in.

# 2 - junk it, not worth the effort in my opinion.

#3 - it's the lower column bushing assy; cherish it, unobtanium, you won't find another.

 

The holy grail of bushings. If you want to sell it you will have plenty of buyers, including me.

The AA latches are awesome though. Never have an issue again.

 

Re the master cylinder, I think your best choice is new. However, I've been running a A-1 Cardone reman cylinder for the past 5 years, and it's been fine. It was supposed to be temporary, but has been more permanent than I expected. You can get one for ca $20 on RockAuto, and a new Bendix MC for ca $40 - local prices should be comparable. A no brainer, IMO.

 

When the guy I got a frame from pulled a box of parts out and said you can have this stuff if you want, and handed me that bushing I asked him where it went. all he could say is IDK maybe the steering column. All I could do is smile... I was really hopping it was the steering column bushing because I desperately need it. So sorry not for sale...

I just stopped at the auto parts store and they have the Cardone reman for like $30 but the picture didn't show the plunger. I guess I just swap my old to reman???? Why were you planning on temporary Timgr??

Hydroboost. It came with a MC. I have all the parts, but I have not gotten to it.

The push rod is not part of the MC. It comes out.

 

Yep the push rod will swap over. Just don't do what I did and throw out the master cylinder out with it still attached like I did. It was a pain to find a different one.
