I've been looking around and have seen a few options, one being from Champion radiators.

If I remember correctly one of the members here bought it and had to send it back due to dimension issues, another member bolted it up just fine.

My current radiator has some damage. It's still useable but I'm not sure how long it will last.

I'd like to get a replacement ordered soon and would like your guys' advice on which route would be best to go.

This one looks like it may be a direct fit.

I called Champion and they didn't have the 3 core in stock, ETA unknown.

The did have a 2 core version in stock (EC6571) and I ordered it, he said the only had one left...

A 71 radiator is really not interchangeable from a 66-69. Different cowl and the radiator is different sized.

Take your current radiator to Manley Radiator on south Wasatch street. They're an old school radiator shop ( I have been dealing with them for over 30 years) and can fix what you got.

When I got home I measured my radiator. The one I initially ordered was short both height and width wise... should've waited until I got home to take measurements before ordering.

Called champion (Ledfoot Racing, Inc.) and got it straightened out.

They're sending out P/N: CC7071 which they only offer in a 3 core (I have no complaints there). I verified the dimensions on their website against the ones I took from the radiator in the CJ5 and they match up properly.

Should be here sometime next week!

I'll keep them in mind for next time. I might take this one and see what they can do with it. If their prices are good I'll have em fix it and I'll keep it in the garage as a spare.

2 owners before me something happened to the current radiator, not sure what but it looks like someone stuffed a whole bunch of JB Weld into it, I dont think any of the cores are damaged because it doesn't leak (JB Weld might be working) but a lot of the cooling fans are smashed in pretty bad and missing in one spot, probably 6" tall and 3"-4" wide...

I had one, didn't fit, so I sent it back. Ordered another one, the clearances were TIGHT but with some fab work making some mounts I got it to fit.

I've also used Potts Radiator 2864, 2425 Rand Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80905 for several years and had good luck with them too. I'm running a custom built unit from them in the '51.

Champion AE2374 is almost a drop in for the 69-71 v6 grill. Been covered here quite a bit.

I saw a thread that mentioned that one. Wasn't there some clearance issues near the lower rad hose and some kind of hose reducer had to be used to drop down from 1-3/4" to 1-1/2" for the lower rad hose?

The P/N CC7071 from Champion has the exact same measurements that I took from the radiator in my '71. I hope it actually shows up with those measurements. I also like that it doesn't have the fittings down in the bottom for slushbox cooler lines.
