Blower Upgrade?

I've read about people doing a YJ blower upgrade with new CJ but has anyone done one with the incab blower motor on our older CJ's?

I've replaced my old factory heater blower motor with a new motor for a '77 Chevy K1500. (I think). I know it was a mid '70's Chevy...might have been a K5 Blazer.

Easy swap. The motor turns backwards so the brushes in the new motor have to be reversed to change direction of the rotation but it's not too hard to do that.

Stan Day (65 CJ5) has a good write up on it on his page. Do a google search for "binky CJ5" and you should find his site and then follow links to his write up on upgrades.

I didn't install the resistors like Stan describes so I only have one speed...wide *** open. I wish I had installed it though...it's very loud on high.
