    Hello Folks
Well this is my first post.
I have a 1955 CJ 5, I need to put on a windsheild wiper system but I am unsure on what the system even looks like.
Does anyone here have any good pic's
And were I might be able to get the system.
This would be a great help.
    Thanks so much

Somebody that owns one of these will chime in. I believe that the drivers side uses a vacuum motor mounted in the top of the windshield. The vacuum motor is powered from a dedicated vacuum pump on the fuel pump. The passenger side, also at the top of the widshield, is hand operated.

These are often replaced with electric motors. The imported motors (ala JC Whitney) are cheap and don't last very long. The good motors are used in marine applications but are expensive. For that amount of money, you can replace your existing windshield with a later model that has bottom mounted electric wipers built-in to the windshield frame. There's a page of windshield pictures here somewhere - but it's not linked to the tech page.

    Welcome from Boston!

this is my setup: motor/linkages are from early 70's 5/6 modified to fit. I had to add about 1 inch to the long arm to fit my holes form the vacuum motors. also a bracket is needed to hold the motor, I used 1/8 plate steel. If the top was off, I could take pics of the mount as well. All fastners are stainless for bling bling and for ease of later removal.
