    I picked up the diode this afternoon and should get it in tonight or tomorrow afternoon. I'll reply with the results. Thanks to everyone for the ideas and suggestions.

    Thanks for all the assistance.

    The diode thing worked like a charm. I got to drive the CJ for the first time in 8 months. Felt good. Didn't go far, as it's only 29 degrees and I aint got no doors, top or heat!
