That link should be on a sticky to help with tuning. I am going to try to copy the whole page and save it.

Thanks old man. I was doing some vacuum work today on my Tux. There was one reading I saw and forgot just exactly what it was telling me. This link cleared it up. Very handy tool but not worth a damn if you don't know what it is telling you.

When I was wet behind the ears young punk kid who THOUGHT he could fix anything decades ago, a old time mechanic showed me how to tune and check an engine with a vac gauge.
That's all he had in his shop for tune up equipment.
Later, when I went to trade school I was again shown the value of one.
I must have shown 100 mechanics over the years how to use one, found a ton of problems.
Now, I'm passing on this to my son who is carring on the wrench in to the 22 century.
It's a great item, one that REALLY shows the condition of your power plant!:D

huh, I believe from reading that link that I might have some worn valve guides. Jeep still runs great though

I think I might have some sticky valves, a job for this winter. But I did get my Solex carb adjusted, it will start now..
