Here's what comes with Herm's steering kit ... I think this is all the pieces:

Column firewall mount (includes screws not pictured):

Bronze column bushing to support steering rod/shaft (this was an early test fit ... not how it will be installed):

Collapse-able steering rod/shaft with u-joints for each end:

Steering box mount (with bolts and screws, not pictured):

New pitman arm for the box - this happens to be the manual box pitman arm, the power steering arm is slightly different:

Well, I finally finished up the conversion ... ended up using the R&P MC bracket, but everything else panned out pretty much like I had worked it out ... only took me 5 years! Runs awesome!

I really like the R&P brake bracket, but want to get some banjo fittings for the bottom of the MC so that plumbing doesn't hang down like that. Or does anyone have any other ideas?

On the steering, I like the box being behind the radiator, but it will make it harder to use anything other than fenderwell headers. Not sure if it's worse than what a box out front would be. Will eventually want to get a big heim/rod end on the frame and, with an additional u-joint, get the steering more outboard so I can get std manifolds or block huggers and get my exhaust back inside the frame. The only thing you really need from her on the steering is the pitman arm. With the exception of fabricating a mount, everything else you can get from Jegs or Speedway. However, it is just as easy (and seemingly no more expensive) to support Herm.

Go-fer-it flip on the drag link works great.

Here are some pics (mainly of steering ... earlier pics covered the full float and disc brakes):

Might just be a bad pic, but the tie rod nut at the right wheel doesn't look tight?

64pete, If you are talking about the drag link (nut on the bottom), I think the go fer it bushing/insert sticks down a little past the knuckle arm ... The nut is up against the insert. But thanks for looking out for me!!! Somebody needs to. Will double check it before I drive it next.
