L134 starters??

are they all so expensive?? i need a new MZ4113, and the local guy was asking $200!! i was expecting somewhere around $80-$100, but not $200....

 

Yes the Toyota starter will work and is stocked everywhere.

i did see these, but i have the 97 tooth flywheel, and i dont feel like going in and swapping that out for a 129 tooth flywheel, and i dont feel that my technical skills are ready for a starter rebuild, although i will look into someone else rebuilding it

Sure did! And the guy who owns or runs Auto Electric was really nice and helpful. I thought he sent the wrong tooth count for the flywheel and he said the teeth on the bendix are interchangeable with the teeth on the flywheel.
