the most expensive thing was hiring a mechanic to tear apart the rear end and put those seals in.

there are only two things left i want to do.
    install a heater.
    and an overdrive.

I'm good in the heater dept. I'd like an overdrive. And power steering. And front disc brakes. ..

    .......
Wow, I must be getting there if that's all I can think of....

    thanks for the kind words.
i was out of my comfort zone for almost every aspect of this project.
    so most of it sucked.R)
i still have a horn and gauges that need to be functional
but somebody else is going to do it.
i just CAN NOT wrap my head around electricity.
    some guys got it
    some guys dont.

  20. bkap

bkap Gone, but not long gone.

I put in a used overdrive I found online somewhere and it's the best thing I've done to the Jeep so far. It helps a lot, even driving around town. Heater, too, but haven't had need of it down here in the Sonoran desert. Yet.

If you're looking for an overdrive or parts, you might want to check with Rob at Willy's Works, here in Tucson (Google it.) He's a great guy and has a good supply of parts.
