May i inquire from you guys the differences of CJ5 bodies for different years. How about their holes specifications, any variances?

    Welcome to the Forum!
(I moved your post to it's own topic)

I think the differences from 1955 through 1971 are relatively minor. Probably more holes in the firewall in the later versions. Also the sheetmetal rear corners after about '68 or so will have holes for side markers.

72-75 will have bigger changes from the earlier ones. These tubs incorporate swinging pedals, so the holes in the floor are gone. Also gone will be the big hole for the heater found above the pedals, the heater had to be moved for the swinging pedals.

Can anyone think of more differences?

Nesskings, go to our introductions forum, tell us about yourself, you location, and your rig :)
    Again, Welcome! :coffee:

I recall that the 76-85 CJ-5 bodies have a lot of changes. Different dash, windsheild, tailgate, floorpans, body mounts (frame shape changed). The overall size is the same, but you'd have to do a lot of cutting and welding to make it fit an early frame and drivetrain.

Hi..welcome to the board from W. MI.

Kinda a big question...we are talking about 30 years of production here...;) Do you have a specific set of bodies in mind to compare?
