My CJ6 has the standard width but 16" wheels. i have looked at NDT's but don't really want to use them (they are VERY expensive in Oz) because of the lack of mileage you get out of them, my friend with a 3B has a Simex 7.50 x 16 and has got 3 times the mileage out of them.
    i am planning on a 6.50 or 7.0 x16.
so what is every one using on there's?

I've got 235/85/16 radials on my wagon, with tubes. I am very happy with them. You ought to see what's available one size smaller than mine.

    31" ltb's.

might be worth the swap to newer 16" (or 15") rims so that you can use a more common radial tire.

32X9.50X15 Super Swampers. Tread has been cut to be more aggressive. They work good!

    On my '62 I had 7.50x16s.

Wish we could get Simex tires over here. :(

Running 4 ply 7.00 * 15 LT Bias Ply at the moment,They were brand new and on it when I bought it. No complaints. So far they do well on the street, rocks, dirt and gravel roads at 18-20psi. I am not doing anything to extreme that may dictate lower pressure.

Mastercraft Tires offers what I think is a Bias Ply that looks very close to the Simex in tread pattern, They are called " Courser Traction LT " and are offered in 7.00*15 and 7.50*16.
Mastercraft is a subsidiary of Cooper Tire and Rubber.

Pic of the Cooper Courser Traction LT's 700-15, Brian was speaking of. They were about $100 USD about a year ago, you might want to get something made in OZ with the present exchange rate. Good tire for my use, Very thick tread, thick sidewalls, very cut resistant. They are available in 7.50-16, also.

BF Goodrich has a tire in their commercial line " Commercial T/A Traction "that may hold some promise for us jeepers that like the look and function of traditional traction tread tires, Its a radial design available in LT 235/75R15/C ( 28.6 inches tall ) and LT 215/85R16/D ( 30.2 inches tall ) and of course other sizes.

In my area there are allot of gravel roads and some traction lug type tires are just a little to open and pick up and throw allot of rocks up under the fenders. This tire looks like it may not pick up so many rocks, For those of us that do not see / wheel in allot of mud they may be a good option........Have been giving them some consideration myself.

And that's exactly what was on my '62. The 7.50x16 Courser Traction LT. Great tire.
