I have a 1969 CJ5 with a windshield washer bag and dash pump style switch it's not electric. The switch is frozen and will not work. Anyone have a resources for finding a replacement switch?
    Thanks in advance

I have one that came off of a 1970 CJ-5 that I won't be using. It appears to be in good working order. You can contact me at billywam@aol.com if you are interested in discussing further. Thanks!

If I may make a suggestion, for $48 Herm has an electric pump/plastic tank upgrade. The bag and handpump is a piece of junk IMO. http://www.hermtheoverdriveguy.com/id2.htm Scroll about a 1/3 the way down the page.

Anyone have any pictures of where the bag and dash switch mount?
I have a '69 I would like to equip with this, it has the nozzle on the cowl but that's it.

These aren't the best pictures, but you may find them helpful. The bag is located on the left inside fender, just across from the firewall. You can just see it in the lower right hand side of the photo. The other picture shows the switch on the dash, just behind the keys handing in the ignition switch. View attachment 21681

If the bag system is operable, how is it supposed to work?

i used the tank/pump from an late 70's dodge (with a slant 6), nozzles from a mid 80's chevy truck (mount on the wiper arms) and a switch from mid 70's CJ. used 1/8" vaccum line for lines.

The switch/pump sucks the fluid from the bag to the switch/pump that is mounted on the dash. The switch is also the pump and when you pump the switch it pulls fluid in from the bag and then sends it out to the line that runs out to your windshield.

I wouldn't even call it a switch. It's a hand operated pump. You pull it back and forth to pump the water out of the nozzle on the cowl. I've never seen a replacement, as I believe most replace them with an electric style pump.
